Eighteen months ago, we launched THE ELECTRONIC INTIFADA (EI) website to highlight the gulf between media coverage and the corresponding on the ground realities of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
During the first month of Israel’s invasion of the West Bank in April 2002, EI’s website saw 600,000 visitors. During the months since then, we have retained a large international readership.
Sites like ours remain crucial information resources for informed and responsible groups and individuals committed to the principles of justice, human rights, and international law.
Several million visitors later, each with growing informational needs, we are expanding our scope and outreach by launching an enhanced and redesigned version of THE ELECTRONIC INTIFADA, Version 2.0.
Still the same subversive, critical site you have known and loved since February 2001, EI V2.0 boasts a clean new design, more frequent updates, and added reference material.
Visitors to the new site will find new features including printable and sendable pages, new information sections, and the capacity to host custom EI headlines on their websites.
THE ELECTRONIC INTIFADA is now doubly indispensible for journalists, activists, scholars, students, and others who need to hear informed perspectives on the Israeli- Palestinian Conflict, understand the nature of biased news coverage, and expose outright misrepresentations of the facts.
